About Me

My journey began during my seventh year of undergrad, set to graduate with a degree in Mass Communication. It was then that I realized Journalism wasn’t my path. My dream was to be a full-time author, and my mentor advised me to gain experience in publishing. I worked as a copy editor but never pitched my own book.

A pivotal shift occurred when I turned my focus to advocating for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, drawing from my own experiences as a survivor. In January 2018, I boldly launched my own book publishing company while beginning my journey toward mental wellness.

Building my business and healing from trauma has been challenging but immensely rewarding. Over time, I have dedicated myself to both self-improvement and the growth of my company. Originally from sunny Southern California, I now call Southeast Texas (Houston) my home. My passion for storytelling started in childhood and evolved into founding Winn Publications in 2018. Since then, we've published over 40 books, hosted 9 bestselling authors, and have formatted over 100 books.
